CASA HOGAR AVE FENIX

Today a child with love, tomorrow a loving parent.

The ancient Greeks and Egyptians described a mythical bird called the Phoenix,

a magnificent creature that was a symbol of renewal and rebirth.

Casa Hogar Ave Fénix (House Home Bird Phoenix) I.A.P. located in Pátzcuaro, Michoacán, is a secure, warm, loving home where children from severely dysfunctional and impoverished families live in safety, a place where they can thrive, for as long as they need.

The Problem

Every day, children suffer from physical, emotional, or sexual abuse or posible exploitation by one or both parents, who may be drug addicted or emotionally unstable. The children often are without protection, without love, without education, without access to health care, and without a real home. This often leads the children onto a path to delinquency and drug use.

Without help and with no positive role models, they are at risk of repeating the cycle of abuse with their own children. They have little or no chance of becoming the best version of themselves and may find it very difficult to contribute anything positive to society. Often they become social outcasts, excluded, rejected, discriminated against, and traumatized adults, or worse.

Our Mission

The mission of Casa Hogar Ave Fénix I.A.P. is to provide a warm and caring home, with a healthy and safe environment, that covers all the basic needs of these very needy children. We welcome them into our family.
